Cannabigerol (CBG) is one of the minor Cannabinoids present in the Cannabis sativa plant. It is being extracted from Cannabigerolic acid, a substance which is plentiful at the earlier stage of the growth of the plant. Later most of the Cannabigerol is being transformed into other, more common Cannabinoids , like CBD.  Only a very small percentage of CBG remains, about 1%. This contributes to the price of this cannabinoid, in comparison to CBD. 20 times more biomass has to be processed in order to obtain the same amount of CBG in proportion of CBD.
